Cross Culture Ministries

Ready or not here we come! We closed out last year (2008) with a study on service and how we can worship our Creator through service. CCM is going to see some great things come through our acts of service.

This Saturday, March 14, 2009 we are going to be assisting a ministry called Loaves and Fishes. Located in Greenville, they are a ministry that provides fresh food to rescue missions and the under privileged. What an awesome oppurtunity to serve our God while serving others. We are reminded of Matthew 25:35-40.

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’”

Pretty awesome oppurtunity for worship! We will LEAVE the church parking lot at 9:30am. So be there by 9am to load the bus. Our route will take us to BI-LO on S. Pleasantburg. Then, to Krispy Kreme and our route will finish up at the downtown Rescue Mission. We will do lunch and take break. Then we will finish the night bowling at an undetermined venue in Greenville. We are still working on prices right now. Three lanes are being reserved at 8pm. So invite other people if you want to. Hope to see ya there!
